The trail begins at the south rim of Wadi Wala and follows a plateau with stunning views over Wadi Hidan and Wadi Mujib. It crosses the Grand Canyon of Jordan, climbs fertile plateaus, passes ruins on the rim of Wadi ibn Hammad, and ends at the Crusader castle of Al-Karak.
